MAN AND DOLLY POLICIES

Policy On Hourly Moves

Hourly Rate Starts when we start at the first Location(With the exception of jobs that the start location is out of the Austin and Surrounding Area, or roughly an hour+ travel time.)


  • Time continues for travel time if there is other locations and still end when wrapped up at final destination.
  • After the 2hr minimum, we charge in half hour increments.
  • Time will be rounded up to the next half hour after 7 minutes after each clean hour/half-hour(for example if we start at 9:00 am, and finish at 11:07 or after you'll be charged for 2.5hrs of labor.

Policy On Deposits (For Moving Services)

Standard Deposit Policy

  1. $50 Deposit Paid before appointment to Hold a 2hr block($25 per an additional hour you'd like to hold
  2. When we complete appointment, deposit is credited towards total balance.
  3. If you cancel up to the day before appt. you get $25 refunded
  4. If you reschedule up to the day before appt. we transfer your deposit($25 charge after 1st reschedule up to 2 reschedules) From There you'll need to pay in full and it's non-refundable.
  5. Whether you're booking for a Delivery, 2hr minimum, or a 5hr or all day block, you'll be required to pay up front the day before or before starting the job. If the job goes over then at the end of the job the remaining hours will be charged.
  6. If we are unable to finish a job due to a hostile working environment created by  the customer, management will charge the card on file for the actual time worked, or the 2 hour minimum, whichever is greater, the deposit will not be refunded, and the customer will be banned from any further bookings with Man and Dolly.
  7. If for any reason the Man and Dolly team is unable to make it to a job, 100% the deposit will be refunded to the customer.
  8. Any customer who must cancel their scheduled appointment, giving notice more than 5 days before the job, will be eligible for a full refund of their deposit.


Relocation Deposit Policy

Deposit amount varies depending on the needs and size of the move

  • All Moving Support Services will be paid prior to the first support call(Pricing is on the Moving Services Page)
  • All calls include a moving guide with tips and tricks for a successful move.
  • If you need to change the time of the call, you’ll be charged $10 to reschedule(within 24hrs of appointment)
  • If you need/want to cancel(within 24hrs) your appointment, 50% of the deposit will not be refunded.
  • If you use/book Man and Dolly’s moving services after a phone consultation, you can get up to 20 minutes free (after a 2 hour minimum job is booked).
Policies

Additional Details

  • We Accept Cash, CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, Bank Transfers, and Cards
  • If we feel a threat to our safety or well being due to failure to comply with social distancing or a nasty(Bed bugs, roaches, etc. or unkept) environment at anytime when on a job we reserve the right to refuse service.
  • All jobs with more than 2 large (in size, heft, or difficulty) pieces of furniture are subject to a 2 hour minimum.
  • Any job that ends 7 minutes or more after an even hour or half hour will be rounded up to the next half hour.
  • With any 2 hour minimum or half hour round up, the customer is welcome to keep the team to accomplish additional moving-related tasks until the time is complete.
