As a professional mover who has loaded and unloaded packing jobs from customers to other movers to packing the clients myself, this has been a debate for a long time and it’s time to put it to rest. To keep it short and sweet, BOXES ALWAYS, why? Because they’re best for packing things into and utilizing all the space when they do have handles they don’t stick out creating dead space. Boxes don’t crack when in hot storage, however depending on the humidity levels and the quality of the boxes they can lose structural integrity. Boxes can be used for many other packing and wrapping situations like protecting furniture, mirrors, TVs etc. Totes on the other hand, while they are resistant to humid situations, they tend to crack when in hot conditions, or sage, often times tops are missing, or wrapped, the clips don’t secure well and there is typically always dead space inside totes, there is very little give when packing items, and the dead space from the handles on the outside it a tremendous damper on packing a tight truck or storage unit. As a mover, this is my humor now!!!

The second customer and his wife, tried for hours to get the couch up the stairs and needed help hoisting the couch up and over the balcony, other companies said they would t do it after their delivery guys told them to get a new couch. I help them get it up in 30 or 40 minutes
